Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) has welcomed two new weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. The inaugural flight, operated by Iraqi Airways using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, landed at Abu Dhabi International Airport on Saturday, 7th August at 17:00 Local Time (LT), according to Abu Dhabi Airports. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism could result in a more than $4 trillion loss to the global economy, UN trade and development body UNCTAD said on Wednesday in a report issued jointly with the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). UAE citizens and other nationalities requiring visas to visit India can avail themselves of gratis permission to travel to India as part of a COVID-19 recovery stimulus announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The free visa scheme will remain in force until 31 March 2022. Sitharaman urged foreign tourists to take advantage of the scheme as quickly as possible once India resumes issuance of tourist visas. Flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, has announced the resumption of its operations to Naples in Italy. The three weekly flights to Naples International Airport (NAP) will commence on 1st July. From 2nd June, a quarantine-free travel corridor has been established between Italy and the UAE enabling passengers to travel between the two countries with less restrictions.
